How it is made

How to recognize it

Look for a design formed by the yarn interlacings, often visible in altered form on the reverse.

Common uses

  • Decorative dress fabrics
  • Table linens

What to distinguish

Jacquard describes a method of pattern control. Damask, brocade and other structures may be made with that method.
