How it is made

Each warp floats over two picks and under two. The crossings shift by one position on each pick to form the diagonal.

How to recognize it

Both sides have the same interlacing balance, although yarn color, density and finishing may make them look different.

What to distinguish

Balanced interlacing does not guarantee identical yarn sizes or equal thread density.
